Light is a staple spell. Not learning it will make the game very hard. Besides gaining Tactical Advantage against most monsters, Light can be used outside battle to purify negative energy spots found in demonic domains. When reaching rank II, Light is also the most obvious way to deal with demons, even more so when coupled with Radiance, Orb of Light or The Art of Light.
Light I can be chosen on New Game+ for 3 Score.
