New Game+ is a feature available from the Clear Gem area, accessible by using the Clear Gem item from the inventory. The Clear Gem can be collected from the Abandoned Shrine any time after the intro (look for the sparkles).
New Game+ allows the player to restart the game with perks, allocating Score accumulated from either the Victory or Defeat formulas (whichever is higher). Generally speaking, it is easier to gain Score via the Defeat condition on the first playthrough, as it is not uncommon to end up with a negative Victory score. The forumulae for each condition is as follows:
Victory: (killed bosses - lewdness - vice - mental changes/4) * Ending * Difficulty
Defeat: (lewdness + vice) * Ending * Difficulty
As the game is currently in development, there is no "Ending" aside from the Soul-Break Ending. The highest Score achieved across all playthroughs on the current save is used to determine how many points are available for allocation.
To avoid losing a significant amount of Score due to Soul-Break, it is advisable to use the Clear Gem to start a New Game+ before ending the day as Aura, as the Clear Gem is inaccessible during the mental changes phase as Alicia.
The player can receive the following bonuses to base stats or additional gold/bombs:
Perk | Amount | Score cost |
---|---|---|
Gold | +250 / +500 / +750 | 2 / 4 / 6 |
Bombs | +2 / +4 / +6 | 1 / 2 / 3 |

While the game is beatable on nightmare without any NG+ bonuses, playing with some bonuses can be very helpful even on lower difficulties. Starting with some bonus stats (everything except defense is great) and a good skill (shadowcloak, lightning sword, or bless for light bombs) can make the early game play very differently and significantly easier. Further into the game, starting Radiance will save you a lot of money, and stone armor is also expensive. Reading proficiency is cheap and can save quite a few days on reading. Splash is a good AoE spell that is hard to get early. Peaceful Mind and divine guard requires giving up better drugs, so can be a strong choice to get both.
