The artifact store is a shop in verdeaux with two merchants. They offer services that scale with how much Star Metal you bring them, and pay 250 per piece. Selling Star Metal levels up the workshop, which levels up both merchants. Selling a Power Core levels up the workshop twice.
The blacksmith clerk offers armor thickening services. Either +2 DEF or +2MDEF. They cost 600 gold the first time, and an additional 600 each time per for every previous time you picked that option. You can use each option one more time than the level of the workshop.
The shop clerk sells artifacts which bestow passive bonuses as long as Aura has them in her inventory. The merchant starts with a few artifacts in inventory, the rest require that the store has reached a certain level, and been brought ingredients from Aura.

Reaching workshop level 5 will unlock a job to dump excess mana into the workshop. Upon dumping a total of 1000 mana, Aura will receive 500 gold and the workshop will be upgraded for free.
