These are the positive and negative effects that characters can have during combat. They are visable as a small icon over the heads of enemies and under the portraits of allies.
- Tactical Advantage (gear) - +50% Evade and all physical attacks are guaranteed critical if they hit.
- Stat Buffs (Upwards arrow with stat label) - +25% stat. Versions: ATK, DEF, MDEF, AGI.
-- Drastic Stat Buff (larger upwards arrow) - +50% stat. Can be gained by stacking regular buff twice.
- Stat Debuffs (Downwards arrow with stat label) - -25% stat. Versions: ATK, DEF, MDEF, AGI.

- Aroused (red heart) - +10% ATK, -30% DEF/MDEF, take +50% Damage from lewd skills.
- Blind (red curtains) - 50% miss chance for normal attacks and Martials.
- Bleeding (blood) - -5% HP per turn. Doesn’t work on undead or demons.
- Charm (2 pink hearts) - attack an ally instead of intended action.
- Confused (spiral) - Double MP cost of spells, cannot use Concentrate.
- Counter attack I/II/III (fist, same as windup) - 25/50/75% chance to attack - when targeted by a physical attack.
- Defence Broken (screw) - -75% DEF/MDEF.
- Electric Charge I/II/III (star or stars) - buff ATK and AGI. Has multiple levels.
- Enhanced (upwards chevron) - +50%ATK/MATK, -20%DEF/MDEF. (Note: bosses auto use this at low HP.)
- Enraged (cross popping vein / anime ‘angry’ cross) - Can only normal attack, -25% DEF/MDEF.
- Exhaust (sad face) - Weak to physical damage and cannot use Martials or Magic.
- Flying (green twister) - Evade all normal and martial attacks.
- Paralysis (twin lightning bolts, same as numb) - skip turn and cannot evade.
- Poison (green mist) -10% HP per turn. Doesn’t work on undead or demons.
- Numb (twin lightning bolts) - Cannot use Martials and -100% Evade.
- Weak To Dark (purple bat) - Weak to dark damage.
- Windup (fist) - +100% ATK
- Suffocate (water bubble) - -10% HP per turn, can’t use magic.
