Available after beating the prologue, acquired by speaking to Quentin, the man fightning a guard in front of the Trademond guardhouse.
This quest acts as a tutorial for SKA's puzzle-based combat system. Fights generally cannot be won by spamming attacks, but rather by taking advantage of enemy behaviour and debuffs and uncovering hints from friendly npcs and other sources in the overworld.
- Quentin can be found outside the guardhouse. His regular attacks are not strong enough to deal significant damage to Aura, but his Wind-up can make his next attack strong enough to one-shot Aura early on in the game. The player should defend the turn after seeing him do this to avoid major damage.
- Lorentz can be found in front of the door outside the lower level of the Merchant Congregation (large central building). His defense is too high for Aura to deal damage through early in the game. After the tenth turn however, Lorentz tires out and gains the 'Defenses Broken' debuff, lowering his defense by 75%. The player should defend until then to make the fight significantly easier.
- Reiner is found sitting at the bar inside the Boar's Hut. He is significantly tougher than the previous duelists. His strategy is to loop through Attack, Wind-up, Rampage, Defend, Defend. Rampage is a very strong attack that hits multiple times but leaves the user Exhausted for three turns after use, giving them a weakness to physical attacks. Hitting a weakness grants a unit Tactical Advantage, guaranteeing a critical hit on basic attacks on their next turn. The player should use this to their advantage to score a critical hit on Reiner on the turn he is not defending.
