You unlock this quest after Verdeaux's workshop reaches level 5.
The assigned task is to fill an orb with 1000 mana. This can be done over multiple days. You can only charge the orb in the abandoned shrine. To do so, use the orb from the menu. Once the orb is fully charged, deliver it in Verdeaux's workshop to complete the quest.
