One of three minions of Demon General Sathanas, this demonic hound's incarnation guards the stairway leading to the third floor of Draknor Fortress along with the corpse holding the key to the dungeon cells on floor 0. A slight inconvenience as its domain portal is in the leftmost dungeon cell. As with all three of Sathanas's minions, once their core has been defeated in their domain, their incarnations no longer appear or respawn on the main map, and they no longer make an appearance in Sathanas's boss fight.
Utilizing dark and fire magic, a triple attack, as well as summoning Rage and Resentment fragments when injured, fighting this demonic beast can be tricky. Possessing resistance to fire damage, Kerberos like all demons is weak to light damage. In spite of only having a singular magic resistance, it is no mean feat to slay the beast, as it has both a high initial defense (40) and initial magic defense (55). In addition to this, Kerberos will change into a tougher, more dangerous form once damaged enough, with an expanded spell list that includes curses and more dark magic.
While a mere Demon General's minion is no challenge for Aura's Star Knightess, fighting without her divine gift requires a bit of finesse. Owing to Kerberos's Refined Nose trait, having Nasty Oil applied will inflict the Exhausted status locking Kerberos out of both spells & martials, while making them weak to physical attacks. This is extremely important as some of the spells they use can one-shot Aura. It can also be devastatingly effective when paired with Shadow Cloak and Offensive Stance I/II, allowing Aura to repeatedly make critical hits with a damage type the demonic beast has been rendered weak against right from the start of the fight. Being able to gain Tactical Advantage from regular attacks also makes it easy to maintain damage output while helping Aura avoid damage should any of Kerberos's triple attacks miss.
Having a slime summoned can also make the fight significantly easier, allowing for the use of support items in a timely manner – such as Flash Bombs to further diminish the chances of taking any hits, or Blessed Bombs to quickly nuke down Kerberos or their summons – or simply as an alternate target for enemy attacks.
