Recommended against bosses that only/mostly use physical attacks. Though Aura's ATK is heavily reduced, MATK is not, thus Aura can still effectively attack with spells.
Even though this stance reduces Aura's AGI and thus sets her back in the turn order, the Protect skill always triggers before other skills, thus making Aura (and party members that have this skill) very effective at protecting lower-HP party members against physical attacks when Defensive Stance is active.
